Your Donation Matters
When you make a donation to Our Village Closet, you
strengthen the support of foster youth and the
caregivers who nurture them. Your tax-deductible gifts
and partnership allow us to provide the highest quality
of supplies, support and connection to resources. As a
mostly volunteer-led organization, our funding comes
by donations from individuals, community partners, and
grants. We welcome your monetary contributions and
your item donations.

At Our Village Closet, we work to restore dignity and hope to foster youth
and caregivers who have experienced loss and upheaval. Providing children
and families with clean, quality items helps us fulfill this mission.
Children and caregivers have a wide range of needs—from essentials for
infants, like diapers and bottles, to home safety items and groceries, as well as school supplies and comforting toys. Your care in selecting donations ensures that every child and caregiver feels valued and respected.
You can drop off donations in person at our Resource Center or support us
by shopping from our Amazon Wish List—an easy way to help provide
exactly what’s needed from anywhere. Every thoughtful contribution makes
an immediate impact.

Different Ways to Make A Donation
DONOR ADVISED FUNDS
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving vehicle that provides an immediate tax benefit to you and allows you to grant funds to charities of your choice. To recommend a DAF grant through your financial institution or foundation, simply provide them with our Tax ID number (#84-2935270).
Please request that your name and address be included to inform us.
LEGACY GIVING
By including Our Village Closet (Tax ID #84-2935270) in your estate plans, you can provide the resources necessary to provide comprehensive support services that inspire and empower the foster care community.
A deferred gift can help you balance your financial goals and your charitable interests - all while achieving significant potential tax benefits. A planned gift, such as a bequest in your will or trust, life insurance designations, or stock donation, ensures your support for the children we serve well into the future.
